Miner Dies and Injures From Rock Fall in Mine

Dec. 11 Park City. John Finhelm, a young miner, was trapped by a rock fall in the Jupiter mine. He sustained a fractured collarbone and severe leg injuries requiring amputation below the knee. He was moved to Miners' Hospital and is expected to recover. The Western Federation of Miners plans a new two story union hall on the camp site ready before spring.
