A 40 year old man from Butte Montana attempted to jump from a second story window at Aiig Cross hospital in Salt Lake City Thursday afternoon. A nurse and orderly restrained him and deputies later took him to a county padded cell for observation. His prior mental treatment and recent discharge are noted as context for the incident and the case will be reviewed by the Joaney commission today.

Washington December 5 A bill for postal savings banks to deposit savings at interest proposed by Senator Carthy would place funds under the treasury secretary with one dollar to start and limits of two hundred per month per person. Interest at 2 percent yearly on deposits up to 1000, funds to be kept in U S repositories and invested in state bonds. Major W T Seward, Senate doorkeeper, died entering a revolving dock at the capitol. he served in Civil War prisons and Hawaii assignment with Queen Liliuokalani.
G Rayt Van Orman tight end of the Coral football team was readmitted to hospital after a relapse from a concussion suffered in the game with Pennsylvania on Thanksgiving Day. Doctors at Ithrea say the relapse is not serious and he will recover. H C Munson of Logan is in Junction City handling matters as Cave Valley country improves.
