Entertainment committees of the Ogden Retail Merchants and Butchers association arrange a bowling contest for Lagoon on August 13. Two teams of butchers and Bravers will compete under A. P. Morrissey who says members will practice steadily to put on a game worth watching.
George Cutabin of Brooklyn belted six consecutive hits in at bats against Chicago, part of an 23 hit game for the visitors who shut out the Cubs 14 to 0. Umpire O Day served after a partner was injured by an explosion as Brant Quigley remained sidelined.
In Louis Aug 9 the Braves snapped their skid by defeating St Louis 5 to 2. Delan's first inning error set up a three run lead for the visitors who Could not overcome.
