The August event at the Salt Lake fairgrounds features famed riders and outlaw horses from Cheyenne. Lead rider Breamboat, backed by Senator Warren and Archbishopes, is touted as unbreakable. The outfit includes 60 wild horses, 42 steer and cow stock, and 23 top riders from across the West, with Mrs Irwin supplying forty head of Mexican stock.
Provo Aug 7 county commissioners met with auditors to outline duties under the new law. A levy was set for general purposes and county schools, plus a 4c tax on valuation of livestock and a tax on horses and other animals in incorporated towns. Eureka G A resident Frank McHallen is mourned in a report from Eureka describing his long life, emigration from California at the start of the war, and his ties to the community. He died at age 69 after years of illness, survived by widow and children in Payron and Winnie Atcheatten family connections noted.
Mrs Frost and her aunt confronted a thief near their Kensington apartment, with Frost gripping an eleven shilling purse as the attacker tried to wrench it away. The struggle left Frost and her aunt injured, Frost promising to identify the youth later with police assistance.

Prompted by curiosity a three year old, Peter Snedden, struck caps with a rock and was badly injured when a dynamite cap exploded. His right hand and left hand suffered severe injuries, with a large wound on his left side. David S. Et at, 17, and two smaller children were also injured. They were taken to the L.D. hospital for treatment by Dr. F Wilcot and Dr. Tenn.
Park City Miners defeated Occidentals with a dramatic ninth inning surge. Harrison connected for a three bagger scoring on Black’s following hit, while Berry’s strong throw nabbed a runner at the plate. Park City had led with two runs in the first inning, and Hawkins, on third, nearly scored on a Francistanis attempt as Occidentals notched hits butfouled.
