Republican County Convention Opens With Candidate Slates
The Republican county convention will consider placing candidates for county offices including treasurer auditor recorder superintendent of schools clerk of courts attorney and possibly others on the ticket. Delegates are apportioned by precinct with one at large for each voting precinct and a factional delegate for every five votes or major fraction thereof. The convention will meet to select nominees and establish representation for various precincts such as Algona wards Buffalo Burt Crescent Prairie Rameny Riverdale Sexton Swea Springfield Wesley Whittemore and others. The caucuses were scheduled for Saturday June nine eighteen hundred eight with a two hour open time line.
