Algona Residents Share Wooded Story and Drainage Plans
A reminiscence details Algona residents joining a Minnesota woods tale, following a feature by Mr Spancer in earlier issues. Dr J Ek Sayera displays a blue print of a drainage plan for land near Four Mile Creek, noting three outlets and a twenty five foot fall, with private contracts offering low costs. Next summer he plans to drain a half section west of the site with partners George Rich, William Rich, Matt Dalziel and Fred M Miller. The project, estimated at about 2400 dollars, aims for economical, community driven work.

Local business leaders pledge fifty scholarships at 60 apiece, and Stuart is described as a thorough businessman with a strong instructor corps. If he comes, the school could open next September with Algona as a broader, stronger field than Spencer.
