Oliver Lemen Dead Passenger Conductor Dies of Heat Stroke
Oliver M. Lemen, veteran C H and D passenger conductor, died Sept 14 at his Indianapolis home from heat stroke. Funeral at 10:30 am Tuesday with burial in Crown Hill. A 64 year old with 23 years service, he last ran passenger routes 730 and 733 between Indianapolis and Springfield. He was cousin to Eugene and Guy Lemen and uncle to Percy and Edwin Jones. He previously served as Deputy County Clerk in 1870.
