Missouri Tax Reform Debate Through 1921 Figures
Missouri voices argue for true valuation to fix inequities in property taxation. The piece compares 1917 1920 1921 tax changes under Gardner and the present administration, highlighting reduced state taxes, altered county and school funding, and benefits to Putnam and Lafayette counties. It stresses local self government via fair assessments and the need for rural schools to gain equal footing.
