Emeline Grinstaff Portlock born in Ohio May 25 1847 moved to Putnam county as a child joined M E church at sixteen married Moses Portlock December 28 1865. Survived by two sons and three daughters Ella Bradley Vmn A Cora Bradshaw John Maliie and a grandson. Funeral at St John church February 16 at 1 pm conducted by Mrs Edna Torrey burial in St John cemetery. The community offers sympathies.

Death of W E Summers at Montana ranch shocks family
W E Summers, living near Shel by Montana, died after an ambiguous incident on Feb 5. Found unconscious 14% miles from home with a head bruise, heart trouble, or paralysis cited as possible causes. Born May 28 1880 near Hartford Missouri, he married Malvina Davis in 1868 and had four children. Survived by four brothers and sisters and a widow, the Masonic order conducted his burial.
