Rebecca J Wright daughter of Mr and Mrs F F Wright was born December 13 1890 in Putnam County and died February 6 1914 at home aged 23 years 1 month and days She joined the Christian church November 7 1904 and lived a faithful life She leaves father mother three brothers Marshall W Daniel L Charlie F and one sister roldie Ida preceded her to the great beyond Funeral services were held at the Lateen church at one o clock Monday afternoon conducted by Rev F E Binley with burial at the Union Cemetery
T E Quisenberry of the Missouri Poultry Experimental Station in Mountain Grove sets March 7 as Missouri Hen Day. The Missouri State Poultry Association and the State Poultry Experimental Station will educate across counties. County branches will organize and recruit members in Putnam County aiming to lead state membership.

The banquet at the Plantera hotel in St Louis on Lincoln's birthday sold over six hundred plates with extra seating in hallways.
