The Baptist church announces the B Y P convention with no morning preaching. Evening services are scheduled as usual at 9 45 and 6 30 with preaching in the evening. Pastor G We Merrifield invites the public and provides a contact phone number 406.
Marie Cook daughter of Ode and Mrs Cook married Edward Schick at three o clock in Bungay with Rev Stidham officiating. The ceremony featured Lohengrin March as they descended the stairs. Marie wore white satin with blue chiffon and carried white roses. The couple will reside and begin housekeeping after a brief reception.
Neta Martin and Luther Proffer wed Sunday morning at the Martin home, witnessed by close friends from the tribe and church. The couple plans to reside in Doniphan while Proffer continues teaching, with their future plans awaiting final decisions.
The Putnam county Poultry Show is practically assured with Judge Joseph Dayl of Richland Iowa slated to judge. Dayl is highly recommended by exhibitors as an esteemed official and trusted to score entries fairly.
Samuel Fowler Powter born 1828 in Kentucky died 1912 near Mendota Indiana after six months bedrest. He married Elvina Cook Shorts and settled in Putnam County on the Culp farm. Surviving children include W W Fowler L A Berry and J H Fowler. Funeral at Neeb Cemetery conducted by Rev EJ McKinney. Also report covers King v Heck murder trial in Missouri with jurors deadlocked and next trial set, and Unionville Republican Printing Co stockholders meeting notice for January 10, 1913.
