Aaron M Wiles and View Embree were married by Judge Lorenzo Jones at the circuit clerk’s office. The bride is the daughter of Perry and Mrs Embree from near Sidney. The groom, son of Mr and Mrs Wiles of Sidney, recently worked for Jackson Merc Co and Farmers Store. They will begin housekeeping on the groom’s parents’ farm and start farming. Friends extend best wishes.

Mrs L D Thomas Dies After Brief Illness In Unionville

Genevieve Francisco Thomas longtime proprietor of Weidel Tailoring College dies at 48 after a short illness peritonitis rapid decline led to an operation and death at 4 45 pm on Wednesday April 2 1913 in Unionville Iowa She was born July 21 1864 in Newton Iowa married L D Thomas October 4 1888 and leaves two daughters Genevieve and Hester husband mother adopted sister Mrs Louise Norcross of Harris IA and many friends The funeral was held at the Methodist church with Rev J R Harper officiating and burial followed in Unionville cemetery

Deaths of Mr Payton and wife mark end of Unionville era

Francis Marton Payton died at eighty four on his birthday after pneumonia following his wife's death in tea cave. He and his wife Sarah Jane Stearna lived in Unionville for over thirty years and would have celebrated sixty years of marriage next June. Survived by son Alonzo of Texas and Commodore of Kansas City, Kansas, two sisters in Illinois, and previously active in farming and gardening. Funeral services conducted by Rev J R Harper at 2:30 pm, with burial in Unionville cemetery beside his wife.

Death by self in a barn near Omaha and Glendale

William Daugherty sixty nine, in poor health and despondent, committed suicide Friday by hanging in a barn after plans to travel with his daughter and son in law to Glendale. His wife and relatives believed he would stay at home by the fire. The body was found when they returned in the evening.
