McClesky Acquitted In Fatal Wade Stabbing by Jury
Bartieg McClesky, 76, was acquitted by a nine man nine woman jury of killing Woodrow Wade, 41, a Potter Valley rancher, in a cabin parking lot. Wade’s associates testified to a struggle over a knife after an argument at Hale’s place, while McClesky claimed self defense and Wade was intoxicated. The three day trial featured 18 prosecuting and 10 defense witnesses.
