History of Our High School in Early Years
History recounts the early days of a California high school. Students funded their own materials and built experiment apparatus, walked to school, and earned UC accreditation by year one. The second year added a new building, a gymyard turned boxing arena, and standout athletes like John Finne, Arthur Henley, Joe Thomas, Fred Estes, and E M Fine. The shift to purple and gold reflected regional lupine and poppy colors.
