In Sacramento the 12th District Agricultural Association approved a 10 000 dollar plan to install fiberglass shingles on Purdy hall at Ukiah’s fairgrounds giving the community center a 20 year roof life. The meeting also set a 130 000 dollar operating budget for the year with 65 000 from state pari mutuel funds and bids for a new Al Parker arena restroom to be sought within two weeks at a 22 000 dollar allocation.
