Don Thompson a 20 year old right handed pitcher from Vallejo High School has been signed by the San Francisco Giants. He will pitch this winter in the Giants instructional league and will be assigned to the Fresno farm team in the California League next year. Thompson is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 180 pounds.

Women’s Golf Club considers championship qualifiers

The Ukiah Westtan Women’s Golf Club held a meeting to announce qualifying for the annual Championship flight. Archie Clark posted 87 in her qualifying round.
