Lake County health officials seek two women who took a litter of calico kittens that may be rabid. One kitten bit a new owner and was found rabid. the other littermates were dumped near Lucerne. Authorities urge contacts to report sightings to Lake County health at 263 5461 ext 294.

Elsie Walker secretary to health officer Dr. Robert Holtzer was named Mendocino County Employee of the Year by a committee of civic-minded businessmen after a luncheon at the Manor Inn Ukiah.
