Botulism hits thousands of ducks in Tulare Lake basin

Eel River Fishing Study Planned for this Winter

The Bureau of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife and California Fish and Game plan intensive Eel River Basin studies this fall and winter to refine salmon and steelhead population estimates. They will tag fish with yellow plastic spaghetti tags and collect recovery data from sportsmen to aid long term resource preservation and water development planning.

Claude Eshleman To be Honored At HSC Sat

Humboldt State College will honor Claude Eshleman at Homecoming on October 2 1967. The former Lumberjacks basketball and track star from Long Beach will be inducted into the Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame. He set the 120 yard high hurdles record and was a broad jump champion, with records unbroken until 1966.
