Coordinator Sought to Coordinate County Mental Retardation Programs

BEA Flight Crashes at London Airport Killing 36
A BEA four engine Vanguard crashed on its third approach to London Airport in dense fog killing all 36 aboard. Pilot Capt Norman Shackell 43 had circled the field for nearly an hour as visibility remained about a third of a mile. The disaster marked London’s first fatal crash in 15 years and the fourth worst in British history. No Americans were aboard.

Willits Power Cut After Truck Strikes Pole

D A to File Complaint in Kelly Cox Case
District Attorney Tom Cleland said his office would issue a complaint against Kelly Cox of Talmage for battery and driving while intoxicated. Cox, 45, was arrested by California Highway Patrol officer John Tersigni after a high speed drive on Talmage Road, resisting arrest and striking the officer. He was held at the county jail and released on recognizance by Judge Hale McCowen Jr. of Ukiah Justice Court.

Kimball Receives Five-Year Term in Jealousy Murders
In Saigon a South Vietnamese court sentenced U S aid official Robert Kimball to five years for the killing of a Vietnamese woman and the woman’s death.
