Zoning Action Errors Prompt Moratorium Repeal Debate

The Board of Supervisors grappled with using wrong language when trying to lift a moratorium on the Inglenook fen watershed area north of Fort Bragg. They voted to rescind but should have enacted a new ordinance repealing the Sept 6 moratorium, which would require a 3-2 vote and could take effect in 30 days. The panel also removed William Sargent’s property from the moratorium area, stating his land isn’t part of the fen watershed. The repeal item is set for 10:45 a.m. at the November 7 meeting.
