Ukiahi Homecoming Queen to be crowned at Anton Stadium

Kissinger Brezhnev Start Talks in Moscow

Mendocino College Board approves five percent site finder fee

Mendocino College trustees rescinded a prior action and approved a five percent finder’s fee estimated at 6400 dollars for site acquisition. President DeVries and business manager Robie were authorized to begin negotiations with owners of the Finney Somila or other properties for a permanent Redwood Valley campus using new appraisals. Jack Cox, Ukiah Realtor, urged compensation for his efforts while noting potential condemnation and rare cases justify the reduced fee.

Public officials tardy with conflict filings

Six public officials including two city council members failed by the Sept 30 deadline to file conflict of interests statements under the 1974 act. Charles Barra filed yesterday after a reminder. five others Willits Councilman Frank Porro Point Arena Councilman Victor Soldani Diane Larson Norman Yates Kent Guest reportedly forgot or delayed. The law requires annual disclosure of investments over 1000 and income over 250 in the prior year, with penalties for noncompliance.
