Ukiah roars past Willits with a kickoff return for a touchdown and a second score by Ron Ledford. Bill Foster Bobby Harkins and Tommy Ramos spark the running game though many runs were called back for infractions. Despite the big win the Flush-Soph defense showed gaps at times.
Washington headlines a standout end amid Huskies near upset of USC as Lee Folkins of Wington University makes 60 minutes of plays. Folkins contributes four receptions for 52 yards and helps rally for a 24 45 victory.
BERKELEY UP T reports the Bay area four man ice hockey season opened Sunday night with the Golden Bear Motors team defeating Julee Jets 4 to 3 in the line.
Recreation and Parks Director Stan Stafford calls a meeting of prospective Men's Basketball League managers sponsors and officials for tomorrow at 7 30 p m in the Municipal Clubhouse. Plans for 1959 60 Ukiah City League operation will be discussed a tentative schedule drawn and signups of sponsors and other business undertaken.
