Fifth creative class added to Ukiah adult school
A new class on mosaics will be taught by artist Doti Zirbes and started Wednesday in room 8 at Ukiah high school's home economics building. The $5 registration is due before the first meeting, with contact at the adult education office 462 1931. Other recreation classes include cake decorating, needle craft, quilting, and holiday gift wrapping, all at the high school except quilting at Pomialita Jr High. Caroline Beatty will demonstrate quilting methods and guide piecing embroidery and knotting for various quilts, including drafting patterns and assembling a quilt with quilting patterns.

The Greater Ukiah Senior Citizens Center at 601 N State Street will serve low cost meals daily next week from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Menu includes Braised beef with noodles on Monday, Lasagna on Tuesday, Chicken and dumplings on Wednesday, Turkey and dressing on Thursday, and Fish or stew on Friday with various sides and desserts.

Mrs Hale McCowan hosted the gathering where new president Mrs Leo Cook presented yearbooks and the club year was dedicated to Mrs Thomas who is at Ukiah Convalescent Hospital. Meetings are 7 30 p m on the second and fourth Tuesdays at members homes next Oct 23 at Mrs Al Fraga the dessert followed the business and program.
