GAO says Mayaguez report timing not political

The General Accounting Office denied politicized timing as it released a 162 page study on the Mayaguez incident. It found executive and unnecessary force were factors while Ford said the action was proper. White House, Kissinger, and Nessen rejected the GAO conclusions as partisan or inconclusive.

Franking violation allegations hit Congressional race
