Jug Handle Creek motel injunction granted in Mendocino

Superior Court Judge A B Broaddus granted a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction against Pacific Holiday Lodge Corporation of Fort Bragg and Mendocino County. The order halts development of a 12 acre motel site on Jug Handle Creek headlands north of Mendocino and sets a show cause hearing for Oct 6. The dispute centers on zoning splits, subdivision maps, coastal access, and open space conservation.

Thieu pushes for victory as talks unfold in Saigon

In a state-of-country message to Congress read at Independence Palace, President Nguyen Van Thieu urged a military victory over the Communists and predicted a new North Vietnamese offensive this year.
