Ukiah Cagers Split and Willits Drops In Tourney

Ukiah and Willits competed in a Willits area basketball tournament with Ukiah’s effort led by Jerry Mattson and Dennis Gwin as Ukiah split games and Willits dropped two. Ferndale’s late surge defeated Willits as Ukiah faced tough opponents in a tight opening matchup and Boonville opened with a win. Valley teams and local seniors were noted in the jittery, error-prone play.
