California wine shipments for the first nine months of this year reached 123,715,000 gallons, a 9.5 percent rise over the year-ago period and the fourth consecutive year of record output. DDT Ban Initiated by Government Plan
Washington reports the government ordered a ban on manufacturing DDT in products for shade trees aquatic areas and houses and gardens as the first step toward eliminating all but essential uses by next year. Woodland Park Hospital in Portland announced on Monday that it has added wine to meals for patients on a general diet since Sept 1. Administrator A. E.
