Two Killed In High Speed Cal-Getter Crashes In Mendocino
CHP reports three fatalities from weekend crashes in Mendocino County. Sterling McConnell 28 and Gordon Taylor 25 of Talmage died when their southbound car overturned after veering on North Highway 101. James Allen 20 of Laytonville died on Branscomb Road when his car left the road and struck a tree. In addition, three Redwood Valley girls were injured on Highway 101 near Ridgewood. Minor injuries to Orville Kester 18 of Laytonville.

Oak Manor Park to be Dedicated This Wednesday
Oak Manor Park south of Oak Manor School will become part of the city park system at a 3:30 p.m. Wednesday ceremony. The park, bought in February 1971, aims to be completed within five years with tennis courts and picnicking areas. Speakers include James Hamilton, Charlie Myers, and Mayor Aine Pearson. Ukiah high band will perform. Boy Scout Troop 75 will present the color guard. Parish and committee members listed include Mrs. Don Honnold and Jim Morris among others.

The Greater Ukiah Chamber of Commerce elected new officers and directors at its Friday meeting at Moreno's. McRee will become president in 1975 with Bill Fernandez as vice president and Jack McNab as secretary treasurer. Ivor Suess remains president.
