Firing Godfrey Dismisses Housekeeper In Domestic Turmoil
New York AP Arthur Godfrey fired his housekeeper Mrs Ingeborg Sorensen after police questioned her about the Woodward marriage. She said a secretary received the firing order and Godfrey had other arrangements. Detective Pinnell questioned her about tensions in the Woodward home and Mrs Woodward’s shooting of her husband, a tragedy she said she believed was to guard against a prowler. The housekeeper had sought other work after the tense domestic environment. An employment agency had placed Godfrey with Sorensen a week earlier.
