North Bay League All Star selections honor Ukiah and Vallejo

Coaches named 1962 North Bay League All Star Team with Vallejo stars Darwin Frey Bob Perruchon Jim Owens and Jerry Caussey headlining the first team. Ukiah's Larry Myers earned first team as an outfielder. Ostrom led Ukiah with a .500 season hitting pace. Vallejo won the team title with Ukiah tied for second.

Don Newcombe Signs With Chunichi Dragons in Japan

Machen Beats Rischer In Unanimous 10 Round Decision

Eddie Machen defeated Roger Rischer by unanimous decision in ten rounds at Oakland.
