Union Lumber Company will close its Leggett veneer plant after the current shift on Friday May 29 affecting about 40 workers. John H Gray VP operations said the action is regretful as United States Plywood canceled its production contract effective May 15. Union will help workers find openings in Fort Bragg or Willits plants and assist those seeking employment elsewhere.
