Vinifera bids $2.5 million for Mendocino State Hospital

San Francisco based Vinifera Development offered 2.5 million dollars for the former Mendocino State Hospital including 490 acres of land and buildings but the bid was rejected for improper form and terms not in the brochure. The state may reoffer the property while Vinifera indicates continued negotiation.

Northern California AMTRAK feasibility eyed for Eureka service

Assemblyman Barry Keene cites a feasibility study from AMTRAK prompted by Senator John Tunney to extend rail from the San Francisco Bay area to Eureka along the Eel River. No Reinecke immunity promise for ITT probe

A Watergate prosecutor's attorney denied that Ed Reinecke was promised immunity for cooperating with ITT funding talks for the 1972 Republican Convention.
