Mystery surrounds 34 year old Crawford missing in flight
Adverse weather hampers search for William Crawford a Calpella lumberman who disappeared after a Hopland ranch flight to San Carlos and Ukiah. CAP Hamilton Field and sheriff planes faced fog and low clouds delaying air search as FAA alert notes he did not file a return plan. A prior Crawford family tragedy in 1966 involved a missing Crawford aircraft linked to Vivian Crawford and others.
