Clay Faces Folley in Title Bout Viewed as Big Edge

Heavyweight champion Cassius Clay, eyeing possible last fight amid Army induction efforts, is a heavy favorite against Zora Folley in a title bout expected to last few rounds. Folley, 34, has 74 wins and 7 losses, while Clay, nine defenses in, stands younger, taller, faster with a sharper left-right attack and a crowd of 16,000 expected at ringside. Clay earns half the live gate plus 150000 in rights. Folley gets 15 percent and 25000 in rights.

UPI: Wetzel’s 75 saves vs Czechs in Vienna tilt

UPI reports an 8-3 Czech victory over the United States in Vienna's Stadthalle as goaltender Carl Wetzel of Detroit makes 75 saves to keep the score from widening. Williamson praises Czech speed and skill while Pitner notes U S teamwork and discipline amid the lopsided world amateur hockey results. Russians and Canadians posted big wins elsewhere, 12 0 and 13 1 respectively.
