Large steelhead caught on Russian River by Ukiah officer’s wife
Mrs. Marge Griffin of 500 Park Blvd netted a 17 pound 8 ounce steelhead about 4:30 pm Saturday on a 15 pound test line using roe and a spin-glow lure near the Vichy bridge. The fish measured 36 inches and took 20 minutes to land, weighing three hours after the catch. The Ukiah Rod and Gun Club restoration program may help revive steelhead runs.

Bomb Plot Against Rev. Jim Jones Foiled In San Francisco
