Eureka Democrat Barry Keene announced from Sacramento he will run again for the 2nd Assembly District. He defeated Gary Antolini in 1972 to succeed Frank Belotti and will make a formal announcement from Eureka. Redistricting moved Pel Norte Lake area and northern Humboldt into the district while removing Santa Rosa and Sonoma County. Keene previously lived in Santa Rosa and relocated to Eureka under the new boundaries.

Willits Teachers Accept Board Salary Offer
Willits teachers and the school board approved a salary settlement at a special meeting.
