Micros and Quarters Race Sunday at Fairgrounds
The Ukiah Quarter and Micro Association will fold after its third race of the season this Sunday at the 12ff District Fairgrounds. Heats start at noon with a 1 30 pm feature. About 30 cars are expected from Sacrament o Marysville Cloverdale Lakesport and Ukiah. George Esser National President of the National Micro Midget Association will attend and may drive his micro midget. Julius Bachiorini California Micro Drivers Association secretary will also attend as a public relations contact for District 8 and micro clubs abroad. New members will compete for trophies as Quarter Midgets for children ages 5 to 12. The Ukiah Junior Chamber of Commerce sponsors the race, with proceeds to community improvement. admission is fifty cents.
