Covelo ZIP code urged for mail efficiency
Covelo postmaster urged all residents to use ZIP Code 95428 on every piece of mail to speed delivery as the national ZIP Code system takes effect July 1. Mrs. Goforth emphasized returning-address accuracy and stated the ZIP code should follow the city and state in addresses. A June board meeting discussed a preliminary budget of 237100 for Round Valley Unified School District with changes including reduced superintendent mileage and deletion of certain programs. Additional notes cover high school campus closure for 1963-64, swimming pool operations, local property sales, theater lease, and community notices regarding obituaries and visits.
