Alou’s batting revival fuels Pirates’ win streak

Matty Alou credits a two week cram session with manager Harry Walker for his improved hitting. After four hits Saturday, four Sunday, and three Monday night, the Pirates beat the Cubs 4-3 and pulled within four and a half games of the Cardinals.
