My Ranch referendum needs careful study

Supervisors planned to review a petition with about two thousand signatures urging a final decision on Jeff Dennis's 28 000 acre Round Valley development. The referendum rests with the people to overturn a 3 2 board vote granting a use permit, with a special or general election possible in 1972.

California Senate considers shared funding for salmon damage

A California senator proposes a bill to protect salmon and steelhead by sharing restoration costs.
