Sanity hearings set for two murder cases in county
Superior Judge Timothy O'Brien appointed Dr. Waldo Cook to examine Andrea Evangeline Hernandez to decide if she can stand trial for the May 1973 murder of Manuel Vlahos. Two earlier doctors disagreed. Hernandez, 31, was confined to Patton state hospital last October after being deemed unfit.
