Ordinance No 822 amends Chapter 20 Section 20-10 Subdivision 4b to reclassify Assessor Parcels 47-100-37 and 17-100-38 from A-1 to F-C and adopt Sectional District Map No 220. The CWA and Telephone Company settlement leaves the Yellow Pages strike by IBEW Local 1269 intact. After a month of bargaining, the first offer on June 6 was rejected and no side hints at resuming talks. Theft at Mendocino residence yields coins and guns

Delbert Schlaffer reported a July 16 burglary at his Mendocino home. Items taken included 125 in coins and three collector guns valued at 160. Entry opened with an unknown tool as deputies investigated the theft.

San Francisco reports a federal plea from Secretary of Commerce Maurice Stans urging an end to the coastwide dock strike for the country’s sake.
