Hearings Set on Aerial Herbicide Spraying in Mendocino County
Four public hearings will examine phenoxy herbicide aerial spraying in forest land across Mendocino County in July 1921. The California Department of Food and Agriculture sponsors sessions with a hearing officer and guest panel, inviting testimony on complaints and concerns. An on-site inspection team from state Fish and Game and Public Health will assist. The provisional guest panel includes Harry Krade, Dr. Irma West, and Dr. John Slaughter. Sessions start at 9:30 a.m. in Ukiah on July 14 the Fort Bragg High Auditorium on July 15 the Willits High Auditorium on July 19 and the Mendocino County Fairgrounds Boonville on July 21.
