California judge orders Nixon to testify in Ellsberg case
A California Superior Court judge plans to sign an unprecedented order demanding President Nixon testify at a pretrial hearing on February 25 and at the April 15 trial for Ehrlichman and co defendants. The move follows a motion by Ehrlichman’s attorneys to compel Nixon’s appearance or sworn statements. The White House said it would respond after seeing the order.

FEO grants fuel relief extension for seven northern counties
Lt Gov Reinecke announced the federal energy office approved a 20 day extension for relief from mandatory fuel allocation in seven northern California disaster counties. The extension runs through February 16 1974 as cleanup is only five percent complete with about 15 million dollars in restoration still needed. Oil companies have been asked to deliver fuel and supplies to Mendocino Humboldt Siskiyou Shasta Trinity Tehama and Glenn counties.
