On Tuesday three attorneys filed to seek signatures for judicial races. Incumbent Pat Manning heads the Sanel district in Hopland with two challengers Lawrence Cohen and John Lade from Arena district. In Arena district incumbent Leland Slavens expected to run again with one challenger in Sanel district George Nelson Ukiah attorney. Round Valley district opens as Judge Joe Weber withdraws. Galen Hathaway aims for reelection in Little Lake district Willits. James Luther seeks Ukiah district judgeship. Hale McCowen Jr may challenge William Carver in Long Valley. Joseph Orr and William Lamb announce runs in coastal districts. Filing window runs Feb 2–11.
