Food stamp program may start early in Mendocino County

County car use crackdown urged by county supervisors
County employees who take county cars home for private use may lose access as supervisors warned Tuesday. Acknowledging a fuel shortage, the board directed Administrator Beltrami to notify staff that vehicles cannot be used for private trips including lunch, except on out of town assignments. The approved “take home” list covered 15 public works, 15 public health, six building inspection, five animal control, five farm advisor, and two probation vehicles.

Mitchell named new vets officer in Marin County
