Pettit Sets Scoring Mark With 52 Points In 119 114 Win

Bob Pettit poured in 52 points to break his season high and set a record as the St. Louis Hawks defeated the Boston Celtics 119 114. Pettit led a second half rally after Boston cut an 63 55 halftime lead, while Cincinnati beat New York 41 108 in the opener. Ukiah Rod and Gun Club launches its annual membership drive in January aiming for 800 or more members.
