Technical experts concluded the 18.5 minute gap on Nixon's June 20 1972 tape resulted from multiple hand operated erasures and recordings, not a single accident by Rose Mary Woods. The six page report to Judge Sirica said the buzzing arose from power line noise and that recovery of the erased speech is unlikely.
