New Jersey mother gives birth to quintuplets at Columbia-Presbyterian
A 27 year old New Jersey mother using fertility drugs delivered quintuplets Tuesday night at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. Three girls and two boys arrived within ten minutes and are in good condition in incubators. Parents Mrs. Margaret Kienast and William Kienast of Far Hills, with two older children, reported the babies were six weeks premature and expected to be named later. The first baby, a girl, weighed 3 pounds 4 ounces at 10:08 p.m. The sequence followed with a girl at 10:08, a boy at 10:13, a girl at 10:16, and a boy at 10:18 weighing 3 pounds 8 ounces to 4 pounds 6 ounces.

Requiem for Ukiah Man John Tusi at St Mary of the Angels
John Tusi 52 of 2 Lorraine Street died Tuesday in a Ukiah hospital. A requiem mass will be said Friday at 10 a.m. at St Mary of the Angels Catholic Church with a rosary Thursday at Zimmerman Mortuary 8 p.m. Burial in Ukiah Catholic Cemetery. He leaves wife Shirley and son Randy Tusi, stepson Ron Brumback, two brothers Arthur and Joe Tusi. born in Healdsburg, lived in Ukiah 12 years. employed as a PG&E lineman. Contributions to American Cancer Society.

County road problems dominate Mendocino supervisors meeting
Public Works Director Carroll Campbell told the Mendocino County board that roads in Whitehorn Four Corners Greenwood Road and Bear Harbor are being reviewed. He said a county contract with a local operator may fix issues around Whitehorn and Four Corners while routine maintenance on Greenwood Road is planned before summer. Supervisor August Avila noted logging traffic worsened conditions and suggested holding loggers to restore roads. Campbell said letters will receive explanations and planned solutions.
