Predator control suit settlement reached in county case

A 64 year old Theodore Dunsing died when his mobile home on Tomahawk Ranch Road burned late Thursday. Lisa Cathleen Carlson, 3, died after an explosion ignited her Clara Avenue home early Friday. The mother Sandra Carlson was hospitalized with serious burns. Fire units responded quickly. investigators cite possible cigarette ignition in the first blaze and are examining the explosion cause in the second. January price rise slowest in nine months
Prices rose in January by the slowest rate since last April, the Labor Department said. Inflation eased though workers’ purchasing power fell 1.2 percent and wages dropped 5.1 percent from 1974. First National City Bank cut prime business loan rates to 8 percent from 8.5 percent.
